Siobhan Brewer
Executive Director

Siobhan Brewer has been an educator for 17 years, and she began her teaching career in Craven County, where she taught high school English and Theatre Arts for ten years. For the past six and half years, Siobhan was employed at Lenoir Community College, where she began as an English Instructor, created a Faculty Onboarding Support program, and most recently served as the Director of Teaching and Learning. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D in Educational Leadership at UNCW.

Siobhan is active in the New Bern arts community, having recently co-directed SpongeBob The Musical, Youth Edition at New Bern Civic Theatre. She previously served the youth theatre community by serving on NBCT’s Youth Education Committee and as a director for Rivertown Players’ Young Actors’ Academy from 2012-2017. 

​

Siobhan is married with two children and two dogs, and New Bern has been her home for the last 15 years. As a founding member of the Board of Directors for RLA, Siobhan is thrilled to bring this wonderful school choice to the students of Craven County and the surrounding areas!

Peyton Jenkins

Dean of School

Peyton Jenkins is a dedicated education professional and active community member based in New Bern, North Carolina. With over a decade of experience in education, Peyton has served as both a classroom teacher and an Assistant Principal Intern in Jones County Schools, focusing on enhancing student performance and supporting teacher development. He holds a Master’s of School Administration from East Carolina University and multiple teaching certifications, including Social Studies (6-12) and Science (6-9).

Beyond his educational career, Peyton is deeply involved in the local arts scene. He has played significant roles in the New Bern Civic Theatre, contributing as a director, assistant director, and producer for various productions. His commitment to both education and the arts underscores his dedication to fostering a vibrant and supportive community in New Bern.

​

The balance between family, friends, and community is essential to Peyton. In particular, he values time with his nieces, nephew, and his sibling feline fur babies. He is excited to serve RLA as Dean of School and continue providing educational support to students, staff, and families.
