Below is significant information regarding Riverside Leadership Academy's admissions process. The application window for the 2024-25 school year opens on December 1st, 2023 and runs through February 29, 2024.
By applying during our open lottery application period, your student will be entered into RLA's admissions lottery. Your are not guaranteed admission to RLA by applying for the lottery. The lottery ran on March 6th, 2024 at 5:30 PM.
Admissions Timeline

December 1, 2023: The application is available to the public via the SchoolMint Online enrollment system.

December 1 - February 29: Open application period. Any interested student can apply to attend RLA for the 24-25 school year.

March 6th, 2024: RLA hosts the enrollment lottery to determine which students are accepted for the 24-25 school year.

After the Lottery: Students newly accepted to RLA are able to begin completing registration documents in SchoolMint. After the lottery, you will receive a offer of admission or spot on our waitlist. Once you accept your offer of admission, you will be able to move through the full registration process.

Lottery Process
If RLA receives more student applications than spots available, we are required by law to host a public random lottery to determine which students shall be accepted.
Lottery Priorities
Riverside Leadership Academy may give enrollment priority under the following circumstances as stated in G.S. 115C-218.45.

Children of Full-Time Employees and Board Members.

Siblings of Current RLA Students
RLA will also offer a weight lottery for students who are economically disadvantaged.

Grade Levels for 24-25 school year
RLA will accept applications from students who will be in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades during the 2024-25 school year.
